Carnival is often thought of in color, feathers and daylight. It’s a performance of joy but it only tells half the story. This is how the project  “Divine Darkness“ evolved. For the past few years I’ve started Carnival Sunday a bit before 2 am waiting for the booming sound of the Jab Molassie coming. The Jab is far from the expected. Jouvert is a most unusual ritual of love, of honor and endless strength. While so many focus on the danger of this dark art, my experience has shown me more examples of devotion and divination.
